Unicode: U+1F1EC U+1F1F3
How the Guinea flag emoji works
🇬🇳 is not a single character. It is two regional indicator letters, 🇬 (U+1F1EC) and 🇳 (U+1F1F3), which spell GN, the two-letter code for Guinea. Phones and computers that support flag emojis draw the pair as the flag.
Why do I see "GN" instead of the flag?
Windows does not draw country flag emojis. In Chrome, Edge and most Windows apps, 🇬🇳 shows up as the letters GN. The emoji is still correct: paste it into a message and anyone reading on an iPhone, Android phone or Mac sees the flag, like the image at the top of this page.
