Who Is Responsible
Mohamadou Moctar edits WorldFlag.org and is responsible for what it publishes. Each flag and comparison page shows the date its text last changed.
Content Standards
We write content for humans first: clear language, consistent section structure, and direct educational value. We avoid keyword stuffing, hidden text, or auto-generated filler that does not help readers.
Source Approach
Flag pages are compiled from public historical references, official institutions when available, and established educational materials. We summarize complex history into concise explanations suitable for general audiences.
Corrections
If an error is reported, we review the claim and update the relevant page when needed. Corrections focus on factual accuracy and clear wording.

- Antarctica flag: the white-map design dates from 1996 (Graham Bartram), not 2002. Added the True South flag.
- Puerto Rico flag: removed protocol text that described Philippine flag law, dated the Gag Law ban to 1948 to 1957, and corrected the official adoption date to 24 July 1952.
- Cuba vs Puerto Rico: the ban on displaying Puerto Rico's flag ran from 1948 to 1957 under Law 53, not from 1898 to 1952.
- Dominican Republic flag: corrected the layout of the blue and red quarters and explained how the 1844 and 1863 versions differ.
- Belgium vs Germany: separated the 1933 ban on black-red-gold from the 1935 switch to the swastika flag.
