Unicode: U+1F1F1 U+1F1EE
How the Liechtenstein flag emoji works
🇱🇮 is not a single character. It is two regional indicator letters, 🇱 (U+1F1F1) and 🇮 (U+1F1EE), which spell LI, the two-letter code for Liechtenstein. Phones and computers that support flag emojis draw the pair as the flag.
Why do I see "LI" instead of the flag?
Windows does not draw country flag emojis. In Chrome, Edge and most Windows apps, 🇱🇮 shows up as the letters LI. The emoji is still correct: paste it into a message and anyone reading on an iPhone, Android phone or Mac sees the flag, like the image at the top of this page.
