How the Oman flag emoji works
🇴🇲 is not a single character. It is two regional indicator letters, 🇴 (U+1F1F4) and 🇲 (U+1F1F2), which spell OM, the two-letter code for Oman. Phones and computers that support flag emojis draw the pair as the flag.
Why do I see "OM" instead of the flag?
Windows does not draw country flag emojis. In Chrome, Edge and most Windows apps, 🇴🇲 shows up as the letters OM. The emoji is still correct: paste it into a message and anyone reading on an iPhone, Android phone or Mac sees the flag, like the image at the top of this page.
How to type the Oman flag emoji
